Nature-Based Mindfulness (in Santa Cruz)

Saturday, October 13
1:00-4:30 pm
Pogonip Creek Trail, Santa Cruz

This half-day program teaches easy, enjoyable ways to cultivate mindfulness by tapping into the calming, healing powers of nature—even if you live in a city and don’t have time.

This session has been cancelled due to low enrollment.  The next program will be on Saturday, October 27 in Mountain View. (Those classes have been filling, but there are still a few spots left for this one, the last of the season.)

Numerous studies document impressive benefits from mindfulness practice and nature connection, including reduced stress, anxiety, and depression; improved sleep and immune system function; and increased creativity and vitality. Integrating nature and mindfulness amplifies the benefits and supports mind-body wellness.

This session will be held on a very scenic and peaceful trail with redwoods, oaks, ferns, meadows, and a lovely creek.  You’ll be guided through gentle yet powerful practices that will help you connect more deeply with the peace and beauty of nature and leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. You will take home simple tools you can use to bring greater ease and balance into daily life and to receive more profound benefits from time in natural settings.

This program is especially appropriate for those who: want to connect with nature; spend most of their time indoors or in front of screens; are coping with chronic stress, anxiety, or depression; and/or aspire to cultivate mindfulness yet have difficulty with seated meditation or finding time to practice.

Reserve your spot here. (Partial scholarships available for those with financial limitations.)

Here’s what participants said they got out of the Sept. 8 program:

A wonderful reminder of all the joy and beauty that still exists in this crazy world—and that I can access at will whenever I need it.

I learned that I have positive, calm, nature-based choices when I’m stressed.

Understanding of techniques to use in my life to help de-stress and better commune with nature.

Great day! Thank you for opening my heart up!
